Creating characters on Memory of a Killer and more

Costume designer Lorraine Carson and costume supervisor Melissa Bessey talk about their work on Memory of a Killer.

In the short interview, Lorraine Carson explains “My job as I look at it is to allow the audience member within 5 seconds or less to understand the character, to help the actor create a character. So it’s about creating characters as opposed to fashion or as opposed to dressing them really pretty.”

Some key facts about Memory of a Killer:

• 10-episode series.
• As of early September, they finished filming the pilot.
• Titles for the first 3 episodes are: “Pilot”, “Salamander” and “An Internal Affair”.

Fun fact: one of the directors, Daniel Minahan, also directed episodes of Grey’s Anatomy season 2, 3 and 4.
