Patrick Dempsey for the New York Times

Patrick Dempsey was recently featured in the famous newspaper.

A new interview and photoshoot of Patrick Dempsey were shared by the New York Times.

In the interview, he discusses his new role in Memory Of A Killer: “I want to be able to go out and test myself”.

He also explains that this role along with the other darker roles he has played recently come from a wish to reinvent himself: “I have a dark side to my nature, I just hadn’t been able to express it. […] I’m getting away from the softness of McDreamy.”

His portrayal of Aaron Spencer in Dexter: Original Sin is what drew the attention of the makers of Memory Of A Killer. Michael Thorn (President of FOX Television Network) said: “We understood how fully he could transform into someone tar more unsettling — a chilling and complex presence.”

Yesterday, the photographer shared a behind the scenes picture of photoshoot.

All the photos and videos are available in the gallery.
