In a recent interview, Patrick Dempsey discussed his new role in Memory Of A Killer.
“I’ve always been fortunate to be an actor and to be able to pay the bills and to do it. But I started off with romantic comedies. We’re playing romantic characters in Grey’s, and people really never really saw me in this way, and that can be a bit frustrating. I have elements of all those things, but there’s also other darker sides and other parts of my personality and other things that I would like to try as an actor, to stretch into and to challenge myself and to feel uncomfortable. I think my racing career has really taught me about being uncomfortable. And I think as an actor, when you have a role or you read something and it makes you feel that way, that’s something you should go and do.”
He also shut down the idea of a crossover between Grey’s Anatomy and Memory Of A Killer: “Meredith is still in Seattle”.
